THankyou for telling us about this , esp., in this economy. Isn't FDIC the federal agency that insures bank deposits? This was started after the Great depression when bank acts. weren't insured & everyone lost their money. Now , isn't the insured amt. up to $250.000? It was $ 100,000 but , think Congress increased it to$250.000. Plus, the stimulus plan was supposed to help w/ banks. But, it doesn't seem yet to be really helping except Wall street. Sorry if sound negative, but amglad u brought this up...thanku.

    Great. Just great.

12 out of the 52 banks that have been closed by the FDIC are IL banks.

When will this state get it's sh*t together?
