condo pictures

I lost a long post. Sigh. So I'm going to show and tell.

Before - living room

Semi, After - living room. Imagine the redecorating crew cleaned up. Smile alone 4 chairs, the TV and a picture hanging over the fireplace.

After - dining room which is 180 degrees from the living room. Again, the cleaning crew has, ahem, done its job.

Before - master bedroom. I took this on my second visit before buying. Staged. Smile

After - yep, I like my colors.

Before - kitchen. After is in process. Smile

And because a couple of people asked about it, my homemade charging station, comprised of a lean-in 5 shelf bookcase and some strategically placed black twist ties.

I like the red. Is that tomato or cayenne?

Love the green. And the charging station...I should set something like that up!

A girl after my own heart! Our kitchen is bright red and our bedroom is three pale-green walls with one bright green one. Smile And, we have stripy carpet tiles in the living room! Although a completely different color scheme.

    Very cute!!

& I appreciate you for introducing me to carpet tile. They were using them on a home improvement show we were watching over the weekend (I generally don't watch but was the only thing interesting on at hotel). They chose a single color/single texture carpet. It looked TERRIBLE. Now I see how carpet tile should be done. I love it!

Thank you, all! Seattle is so grey, that if you really like that, heck, step outside.

@Paulette - the red is Benjamin Moore Rhubarb! ... 'cause I'm a Midwesterner at heart. It went on a hair lipsticky, but as it dried it darkened a bit and the lipsticky aspect toned down a little.

@MonkeyMama - they are Flor tiles. I'm pretty sure they have a showroom in North CA. Plenty of different types and styles and color lines they definitely encourage you to mix them up. Now that I have it in, I notice it a bit more in action in other places. My nearest Best Buy for instance has Flor tiles.

The Flor people really enjoyed my pictures, when I get caught up I owe them a blog entry. They told me that if my non-profit gig doesn't work out, they'd encourage me to turn "pro". Smile
Nicest part is that kitty is mostly leaving them be. She did make one "scuff mark" (I leave it to the imagination), but it cleaned up very well. Except for the edges of the room, a carpet sweeper is enough to get the crumbs out.

Our dining room was a similar red color with creamy-white wainscoting. Loved that room. I think that some color leads to life in the rooms, and as long as you have the insurance that it is something you like, that is what counts! (I did see a house listed online with some violently purple walls this week... not my thing, but again, it made them happy. I would have just repainted to increase the chance of selling it.) What a cheerful, fun color palette for Seattle. Thanks for sharing photos. What colors will the kitchen have when completed? Love the charging station and hope it's ok to suggest corralling the cords in a cable 'sleeve.' It can stick on the back edge of shelf unit with double sided tape. If you have a black power bar, I'd change that out. Love to see all when furniture is in place. Enjoy!
