hopefully, this isn't your noon

Anybody else see this article? Or have to deal with a toxically gross office refeer? Its the one downfall with being frugal. And the personal refrigerator? We already have it...reader, meet the cooler. Smile

I'm thankful that during the summer, we only have 7 people on our floor; this year a couple of people are on vacation, one on a PTO day. I appeared to be the only person to use the floor fridge today. Thank you, jeebus! And my typical lunch/snack these days is brown rice, tofu, hot sauce, along with 2 pieces of string cheese individually wrapped.

And for laughs I posted this article on our refeer. Come October, it might not be so funny.

LOL. My co workers have always been eating in types, but there isn't that many of us (9?). I am usually the only one with food in the fridge, since most everyone else just eats frozen meals.

It probably helps that the boss is a neat freak. I was laughing reading some of those stories. Egads.

We have a small fridge at work and it's usually empty because we're all big eaters! lol.

The office where I work(ed) has a rule that nothing in the fridge stays over the weekend unless is has a date and name associated with it - and the date must be within the week.

The fridge cleaning is a volunteer position handled by a different team each week. Why would someone volunteer for such a job? It is a half hour off the phones - for every 8.5 hours per day we only get 1 hour 7 minutes off the phone (and we are closely tracked). There are about 250 of us in teams of 10-12.

Where I work almost everyone brings their lunch. No problems at all with the fridge.
    How we avoid the funk?
End of the work day every Friday, EVERYTHING left in the fridges gets tossed ... lunch bags, unopened sodas, etc ... everything, no exceptions.
The cleaning staff does it (there are hundreds of employees so we have full-time cleaning staff).
