pass the visine

Saving log - $75 from checking to savings + $35 to another Drp
Spending log - $3 breakfast, $135 for digital camera and SD card

FYI - the april fool blog colors made me reach for my visine. Yipes!

Last night DH and I hit a nice quiet bar, grabbed a table, ordered beers and food, spread out the maps of Paris, and pored over our books. It turns out that the hotel is in the 1st Arrondissement, an underhand toss away from the Palais Royal, three blocks away from the Louvre. I can immediately pick out where we're staying from pretty much any Paris map - part of the preparation. DH and MIL have been to Paris several times, so I'm the person who gets to pick what to do. Such pressure!

Tried out a freeware program for my PDA - Metro. It's a database of public transit systems of most of the major cities of the world - Paris had several databases.

Bought a well-reviewed digital camera from overstock.com, cheap because it was factory refurbished. I've had good luck with them, but I did manage to get it in time to try it out and learn it.

Scanned our passports and put the jpg file in the password protected USB flash drive. Tried out the money belt - nice and comfy. Started with packing the airport bag already. Yeah, six weeks out, but c'mon, its no fun packing the midnight before for me. It's just a recipe for forgetting something.

You sound like me...prepping for a trip weeks in advance because you're so excited. Smile Don't plan every minute, though...the most fun comes from the unexpected stuff, I think.

I missed the April Fools thing - what did it look like?

Green and purple and brown and tan. And I think Jeffrey's picture was on the top header.
