    Thanks for sharing! Couldn't help but enjoy the reference to the Victory Gardens! (after enjoying fresh veggies and a salad from our gardens for dinner!)

    Loved the rational consumption, the War Production Board, and the fact that "without a car people moved at a slower pace but seemed to accomplish more". Funny how many confuse the trappings of busy-ness for actual business.
