Saving log - $1 tip box
Spending log - $1.75 coffee + $14 groceries
Found money - $0.11 (driveway, road)

I couldn't resist: blueberries @ $1.99/lb. Not local, not seasonal, cheap from Chile and probably put g%d knows how much CO2 in the air during its plane flight ... still a treat.

Fern, I found some real

Yes, the people in that article were pretty extreme. I don't think I'm willing to go that far.

Some of what they were doing reminded me of a time in my life when i was about 26 years old and i lived one summer with my boyfriend/artist in the woods of New Hampshire. His "cabin" was really something that started as a tool shed, then got expanded from there. No running water (drinking water came from a neighbor's well), no central plumbing (we used an outhouse) and no heat save for a smoky wood stove. My best memory out of that whole experience was how wonderful it was to wash my hair in an old wash tub outside in the middle of the woods. It was great! Yes, those were my "wild" days.

Ha, ha ... you know that the most telling word in your tale of "wildness": summer.
