quarter was a bust

With the stock market 12% off and with the never ending recession, and with a virtual certainty that if you have a checking account with a big bank you'll be (expletive deleted)... well, I need to share just one good thing that happened this quarter. Here it is, made it myself:

    Paulette - That's exactly what I was thinking of. "Mosaic yer chicken/farm animal." All the urban farmers I know are pretty sentimental about their birds. And the mosaic is classic and garden-y. This piece really can only live inside. If the wood gets wet, it swells and will crack the grout.

    Most of the materials in it were free - dead black coffee mug from the neighborhood coffeeshop, pallet wood - or darn cheap like the vitreous glass and the tile. Only my labor was pricey. Smile This weekend I plan on talking to the proprietors of Tasty and Art on the Ridge to see what they think. Since the piece going to be a Christmas gift already, it'll be for advice.
