test driving a netbook

October 5th, 2011 at 02:16 am

So DJ friend bought a netbook for his dad, but found an iPad even better for his needs, so he is interested in selling the next-to-never-used netbook to me for $200. So far, I've loaded Firefox, NPR and this blog. Its very cute and very light, and frankly, as long as I can surf, crank an Excel sheet, I'm happy. It'll be quite a change if I get this - I've had my laptop since (also bought from DJ friend) 2004. Sweet!

I LOVE having a netbook (Don't think it cost much more than $200 for new - so love the price too).

    Sounds good!

I have considered a netbook too. Mainly, I use my laptop for email, surfing the web & excel. Let us know what you think after a while!

Baselle: I love mine; I need to upgrade the sooftward, but the size is perfect. Great for travel and handy for many other things.

I haven't used my Netbook much since I got my iPhone, but it has come in handy many times. Smile (although by now it is pretty old and doesn't have the memory capacity for some of the software updates, such as Flash and Adobe ..)
