Trainer weighed me this afternoon. 163 is a very exciting milestone. I'm 5-8, and 163 crosses over (under?) from overweight to normal weight. Don't kid yourself - I still have a little bit of gut even at 163 - but it is an exciting milestone nonetheless. Much, much better than 209, which is what I started at.

    Congrats on your accomplishment! I started about 209 myself but am only down 11 now. How long did it take you to get to 163?

    twest - your first number is a "1" so that's a milestone too! Its taken me 6 yrs. I don't lose weight easily AT ALL, but I can maintain okay. So its been lose 10 lbs, plateau for many months, lose another 10, etc. Most of the time I'm cycling up and down about 3 lbs.

    congrats - I'm an extremly slow loser too and have been stalled fro 6 months now. I think I'm finally starting to lose again - I hope, I hope Smile That's my main goal for eventually too, to get under the border from obese to just fat and then from fat to 'normal'. At this rate it will be years.

    retire@50 - one of the tweeks that helped me (after diet) was intervals. When you do your walking, try to run/jog/walk faster for 10-30 sec. I would walk for 5-10 blocks, jog/run for 1.
