no, no, no, no I'm not

Saving log - $2 tip box
Spending log - $1.19 coffee + $5 lunch

Nope, I'm not going to look at my stocks, 401k or any equities this week. I'm heavy in cash, haven't moved anything yet so that's not the issue. I'm going to keep my emotion out of this, good or bad.

This is the time when 12 month CDs come into their own.

Time to give it all a rest.

    I can't imagine how this must feel for you and others like you! I remember many years ago my stepdad was heavily vested in some stock that just took a nosedive and never recovered. It was torture for him. Not that that is about to happen but reading about the concern and worry people have brings those memories back for me.

    Keeping the emotions out must be so hard. Frown It would be for me!

    By the way, I keep meaning to ask you..what is the tip box???

    Hehe, yes, don't look down.

    I look at it fairly regularly, and though my heart sinks ever so slightly, I don't mind it really. Overall, it's been a good learning experience so far.

    It's killing me to know how much I'm loosing, but I keep thinking "I'm only 23, I don't have to worry about retiring anytime soon."

    Sigh, I wish I could take my money out of my 401k and cuddle with it ... It's more money than I normally just have on hand .... but I'm sure it will bounce back before I even come close to leaving this job.

    FYI - I'm not particularly upset. I know I've lost a bit of money on paper, but that's all it is - paper. It was paper when it was a profit, too. But why tempt the bear?
